If you have customers who may need flood insurance, you need fast, reliable flood-hazard information. Flood zones change all the time, and trying to stay in compliance with complex FEMA regulations can be difficult and time-consuming.
That's why ISO offers FloodAssist® — the online system that helps you accurately determine flood zones and flood risk.

How many communities in the United States are Class 1 NFIP/CRS communities?
Only one. That‘s Roseville, California, and they implemented a multimillion-dollar improvement project that included flood-protection activities such as undertaking stormwater projects, creating new berms and elevating structures, initiating public-awareness efforts, and building new bridges, culverts, and floodwalls. | |
Here's how it works
ISO has teamed up with Fidelity National Information Solutions (FNIS) to provide FloodAssist. FNIS technology will help you determine a property's flood zone, find other necessary flood data, and satisfy National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) requirements.
You just enter an address or legal description of the property, and FloodAssist automatically cross-references digital and hard-copy FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs), tax maps, and aerial and satellite photos to identify the specific location. Within seconds, the system determines whether the property is in a Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) and delivers a comprehensive flood report.
Is the property eligible for premium discounts?
FloodAssist also provides information about communities participating in the National Flood Insurance Program's Community Rating System (NFIP/CRS) — a program that assesses communities' ability to mitigate flood damage. The NFIP/CRS grants flood insurance premium discounts to property owners in communities that exceed minimum standards for floodplain management. When you order a FloodAssist report, you get the community's NFIP/CRS grading, which lets you know the amount of any available discount.
Guaranteed reports available
FloodAssist reports are available with or without a guarantee of accuracy. When you rely on a guaranteed report, FNIS will compensate you for any uninsured loss as if an NFIP policy had been in effect, up to the maximum available limit of insurance.
