ImageLOCATIONฎ Crime Service delivers objective, accurate crime-risk data representing every address in the United States. You'll get a wealth of information — including past, present, and projected crime-risk scores — to help forecast losses at specific locations. LOCATION Crime Service gives you the data you need to place risks appropriately and to make quick and accurate underwriting decisions.

Cutting-edge data from ISO and CAP Index
The LOCATION Crime Service data set is based on a new, advanced statistical model from CAP Index, Inc. — the premier source of crime-risk data.

The CAP Index model compiles crime statistics from police reports, FBI data, and corporate-incident loss reports. The model combines those statistics with neighborhood demographics and housing data to forecast losses at specific locations.

Burglary experience for businessowners is more than three times greater for areas with high LOCATIONฎ Crime scores than for ones with low scores.

The crime data used in LOCATION Crime Service is one predictor of businessowners property loss. High crime scores correlate with greater loss; low crime scores correlate with lower loss.

 

Trending information at your fingertips
LOCATION Crime Service compares a location's potential risk of crime against the national average and then uses a scale — from 1 (best) to 10 (worst) — to rank that location. The system supplies an overall ranking — called a CAPRisk Index score — for each risk location. In addition, the system returns separate scores for each of the following types of crime:

  • aggravated assault
  • arson
  • auto theft
  • burglary
  • homicide
  • larceny
  • rape
  • robbery

LOCATION Crime Service also includes separate scores for:

  • aggregate crimes against persons
  • aggregate crimes against property

Custom-tailored databases
LOCATION Crime Service also allows you to custom-tailor information to your needs. You can request data by state and order separate databases for personal and commercial lines.

With LOCATION Crime Service, flexibility is key. You'll get the information you need based on your specific requirements.
