John Rollins, FCAS, MAAA

John Rollins is a vice president at AIR Worldwide. AIR is a provider of risk modeling software and consulting services to more than 400 insurance, reinsurance, financial, corporate, and government clients worldwide. Mr. Rollins provides consulting services to AIR’s insurer clients on catastrophe modeling best practices and interpreting model results.

Mr. Rollins has nearly 20 years of experience as a U.S. property and casualty actuary in a variety of environments, including personal and commercial lines insurers, global and regional consulting firms, an accounting firm, and an insurance advisory organization. Most recently, Mr. Rollins was chief actuary at Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, the Florida residual market property insurer, and before that at Florida Farm Bureau Insurance Companies. His technical expertise is wide-ranging and includes personal and commercial lines ratemaking and ceded reinsurance design, as well as pricing, catastrophe modeling, and loss and expense reserving for insurers and self-insurers. He has authored several prize-winning papers in the journals of the Casualty Actuarial Society, and speaks and teaches frequently on catastrophe modeling, ratemaking, and other topics.

In addition to qualification as a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), Mr. Rollins has a B.A. in mathematics from Duke University and an M.A. in economics from the University of Florida.
