Cecil Rhodes

Cecil Rhodes is a principal consultant at ISO’s NIA Consulting unit. NIA Consulting specializes in forensic financial risk analysis. Formed in 1982, NIA performs quality-control and fraud audits for some of the largest and most successful companies in the real estate, mortgage, and financial services industries.

Mr. Rhodes spent 15 years in California law enforcement, during which time he worked for a metropolitan district attorney and coordinated the investigation of organized criminal enterprises involving trade-secret theft, political corruption, and complex financial crimes. He has dealt with real estate fraud, as well as with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.

Mr. Rhodes has been a senior manager at several national mortgage companies, has owned and operated a wholesale mortgage banking concern, and has spent extensive time consulting with the country's premier designer of electronic mortgage origination, processing, and servicing systems.

For the past several years, Mr. Rhodes has provided mortgage fraud audit, investigation, quality assurance consulting, problem loan work-out consulting, and training to investors, mortgage insurance companies, and national and regional lenders.

Various congressional committees and federal and state courts have called on Mr. Rhodes as an expert witness to provide testimony related to the mortgage industry and mortgage fraud. He has addressed local, state, and national real estate and mortgage trade groups, and has authored several articles for mortgage trade journals and industry publications.
