William M. Raichle, Ph.D. is a vice president — Risk Decision Information at ISO. He is responsible for ISO’s SPI Plus® suite of products, based on a unique database of more than 3 million buildings in the United States that have been surveyed by ISO’s field representatives. He also has responsibilities for LOCATION®, FireLine™, and FlightDeck™ and oversees product development, engineering, marketing and account management, and financial planning for the Risk Decision Services business unit of ISO.

He holds a Ph.D. in organizational psychology from New York University, a master’s degree in human relations from Shippensburg State University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor of science degree in business administration from St. Francis College in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Raichle lectures frequently on how companies can improve the profitability of their property portfolio with accurate, location-specific geographic information systems (GIS) technology and how insurers are using GIS to assess natural hazard exposures, crime, territory assignments, flood, and risk concentration. He has also served as an adjunct professor of management in the graduate management program at Polytechnic University.

Dr. Raichle is currently working on developing large-scale, easily accessible GIS systems for property/casualty insurers and on developing accurate construction, occupancy, protection, and exposure information for many more millions of buildings in the United States and beyond.
